New makeup: Sephora holiday releases

Makeup is easily my favorite thing to shop for. Something about opening up a fresh product and testing it out for the first time brings me so much joy. If you’re an avid reader of my blog, you know I’m a huge Sephora girl. Even though it’s only September, there have already been SO many new releases, many of which are for the holidays. I’ve compiled my favorite new drops from Sephora, including some sets that give you an incredible bang for your buck.

Natasha Denona Glam Palette

I rarely feel an absolute need to buy a palette, and that’s mostly because I have enough neutral eyeshadows to create a look, and so many recent palette launches have included colors I just know I wouldn’t touch (the average person isn’t using bright red or neon pinks on a daily basis!). However, when I first saw the Natasha Denona Glam Palette, I knew I needed it.

Lots of reviewers say this is a cool-toned palette, but I’d say it’s more of a neutral palette. Yes, it’s cooler toned than most recent launches, but it’s not really a silvery-grey palette and instead has a good mix of warm and cool colors. Natasha Denona shadows are so luxurious and buttery, and much better than Anastasia Beverly Hills, in my opinion. This palette is a must-have for fall and winter looks. You can create everything from a simple everyday eye to a smokey eye for going out at night.

Fenty Beauty Glossy Posse Gloss Bomb Lip Gloss Set

Fenty Beauty Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Set

Ok, so Fenty’s Gloss Bomb is obviously very highly regarded, and while it’s not my absolute favorite lip gloss formula out there (I prefer something a tiny bit thinner), it’s still pretty darn good. I couldn’t resist this set, so I bought it already. I love mini sizes since I never use up ANYTHING, and these new shades are so gorgeous.

Sephora Collection Holiday Brush Set

Sephora Collection Brush Sets

Sephora Collection’s brushes are SO underrated. My favorite eye brush is by Sephora Collection (unfortunately it’s super old and I can’t find it anymore) and I really love the Beauty Magnet concealer brush as well (also unavailable). SC recently launched some new brush sets that are perfect for the holidays. Give them as a gift to someone in your life who’s just starting out with makeup or simply needs new brushes. Don’t be fooled by their kitshcy packaging – they really are good brushes.

Bright and Beaming 8 Piece Brush Set

Keep Shining 5 Piece Brush Set

Gilded Wishes 6 Piece Brush Set

Frosted Wishes Mini Eye Brush Set

Sephora Collection Lipstick Set

Sephora Collection Under The Mistletoe #Lipstories Lipstick Set

Sephora Collection’s #Lipstories lipsticks are impressively smooth and creamy. The best part is that they are sold at drugstore prices. Buy this set and gift it as one, or split it up amongst your friends (and yourself, I don’t judge).

Sephora Favorites Baby, Let’s Glow Outside Bronze and Glow Set

I love Sephora Favorites kits because they allow you to try top products from a variety of different brands. This set is FILLED with cult favorites, like the NARS Blush/Bronzer duo and Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eyeshadow. It also includes the Huda Beauty Silk Balm, one of my new favorite lip balms, and three other glowy products.

Sephora Favorites Give Me More Lip Lipstick Set

Another amazing Sephora Favorites set! This set contains a whopping eight different lip products ranging from bright red lipstick to soft nude lip paints. Again, this set is perfect to gift as a whole or split up between the friend who loves a bold cherry lip and the friend who veers toward subtle nude lips.

Sephora Favorites Lashstash Set

I was a bit more hesitant to share this one because there are a few products in here that I’ve tried and didn’t love (looking at you, Blinc and Too Faced mascaras), but the pros greatly outweigh the cons. This set includes a mix of full size and mini mascaras, Velour lashes (the BEST and easiest to apply false eyelashes I’ve ever tried), and a GrandeLash serum. Nothing has made my lashes grow like GrandeLash did – strangers literally complimented my eyelashes and asked if they were real. Unfortunately, after using it for a long period of time my eyes developed an allergy to it, but I think if you use it in shorter time periods it should work wonders for you like it did for me.

Benefit cheek set

Benefit Cosmetics Cheek Party Mini Blush & Bronzer Set

Benefit knows how to do blush and bronzer right. Their Hoola Bronzer has been one of the top bronzers for forever, and has won numerous awards. The set also contains five of their best-selling blushes that look beautiful on every skin tone.

Lâncome Mini Mascara Wardrobe Set

Can’t decide on one mascara? Try them all! Lancome has a great selection of mascaras, and this set includes their award winning mascara primer as well. Monsieur Big ( is a fantastic mascara (also available in this set), and I’m dying to try their DéFINICILS and HYPNôSE mascaras included in the set as well.

Charlotte Tilbury Highlighter

Charlotte Tilbury Superstar Glow Highlighter

I will forever be in love with Charlotte Tilbury makeup and its packaging, and this limited edition highlighter is absolutely stunning. It comes in silver packaging as opposed to the brand’s signature rose gold components, and it’s a massive pan, which helps justify the $55 price tag. It looks like a beautiful peachy champagne color that will work on most skin tones as it’s not too light.

Hourglass Holiday Palette

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Face Palette

I have yet to buy any of Hourglass’s Ambient Lighting palettes because they are so pricey, but this might be the first one I order. This six pan palette comes with bronzer, blush, and finishing powders so you essentially have an entire look in one palette. The gold packaging is to die for, too.

Sephora Collection Skincare Fridge

I live at home, and with six people under one roof, our fridge is usually pretty full. I can’t live without my skincare fridge (after typing that out, I realize how ridiculous it sounds). It’s so nice to be able to keep facial rollers, under eye masks, and other skincare products cool in the comfort (and ease) of my own room. My fridge is by Cooliuli, but I’m loving this new Sephora Collection one. It comes in pink and blue. They look to be about the same size and price, so either would work!

Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Tasty Trio

Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Plump & Tasty Trio Set

Too Faced’s Lip Injection Extreme is a favorite of many because it WORKS. Sure, you have to endure a few minutes of tingling and burning on the lips, but it creates blood flow to the lips for a plumper, flushed pout. This set comes with three mini-sized lip plumpers, including the original clear, pumpkin spice (terracota nude  with a pumpkin scent), and Christmas cookie (light pinky-nude with a sugar cookie scent). I’d buy this just for the new scents, tbh.

NARS Jumbo Orgasm Blush

NARS Jumbo Orgasm Blush

NARS Orgasm blush is such a universally flattering shade. It’s not too peachy nor too pink, and it has shimmer without being glittery on the face. This value size blush comes in gorgeous silver packaging instead of the typical black NARS compact. If you’re a sucker for cute packaging, you need this.

Sol de Janeiro Wild Extravaganza Set

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I’m a devout follower of Sol de Janeiro. Out of all of the products I’ve tried from the brand, I’ve fallen in love with almost every single one. This set includes a full size Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, a Brazilian Kiss Cupuaçu Lip Butter, a mini Brazilian Crush Body Mist, and a mini Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel. In love with each of these products.

Laneige lip sleeping mask set

Laneige Dream & Wonder Gift Set

The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is a bedside table staple for me. I love their holiday sets because they usually include a limited edition scent or two – in this case, it’s mini sizes of Lemon Sorbet (brand new!) and Mint Choco, and a full size of the Berry. These masks are so thick that it’s nearly impossible to finish a full size as is, so the mini sizes are my favorite. If only they were available to purchase on their own! I also love the Glowy Balm – it’s a bit thinner than the original mask formula, and comes in a tube for easy, on-the-go application.

Tatcha Pure & Glowing Trio

Tatcha is a PRICEY skincare brand, so if you’re going to try their products, it’s best to test samples first or try a value set like this! Their Silk Peony eye cream is one of my favorites – a little bit goes a long way, and it really makes the under eye area feel silky. A full size is a whopping $60 and I’ve barely made a dent in mine after a year. The Dewy Skin Cream is another favorite of mine for the drier months. I can’t wait for it to get colder out so I can start using it again! I’ve also been trying the new Rice Wash Skin Softening Cleanser and have nothing but good things to say about it. It’s gentle, but it does a good job of cleansing without stripping the skin. If you were to purchase the cleanser with either of the other two products, it would cost you way more than this $72 set. Great value.

YSL Perfume & Lipstick Set

This set is SUCH a genius idea – it comes with a silver cosmetic pouch, a mini Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in a gorgeous red shade (such an incredible formula – I have the shade Le Nu and absolutely love it), and your choice between their Black Opium perfume or Mon Paris perfume. I have both fragrances and love both – Black Opium is a bit more of a gourmand scent, and Mon Paris, while still a sweet scent, is more floral.

Are you planning on picking up any holiday sets? Want me to continue to post gift guides as more products are released? Let me know!

Xo,

Meg
