Hi everyone!
I’m back with a roundup of all of my recent buys. My most recent roundup was all the way back in the beginning of June, and I’ve definitely done some damage since then!
Clothing
I’ve loved Free People’s Adella bralette for years – it’s comfy and looks so cute under tops. When I saw they released a full-length top I knew I needed it! I also picked up this Woodstock tee – I can’t resist a good graphic tee, and I love the hot pink logo.
When I saw these star jeans back in stock at Reformation, I had to have them. I love the faded black wash and detail on the back. Unfortunately, my usual size 26 is a little small because these have no stretch. I’m planning on returning them and ordering the next size up.
Anyone else wait until it’s actually summer to pick up new swimsuits? I got this one from Aerie, and I love the fabric. I’m OBSESSED with the fit of this one from Abercrombie.
I (like many of you, probably) tend to find a bra I love and wear it LITERALLY every day. I finally picked up some new ones for daily wear, and I’m loving this wireless push-up from Aerie. It doesn’t have major padding, but rather just enough for a bit of lift without the wire. I also bought this standard nude t-shirt bra that I’m waiting to come in the mail from Bloomies.
I also made a few Etsy purchases – I got this Louis Vuitton lock necklace as well as an elastic Chanel Apple watch band.
Pictured above is my new top from Vestique (perfect summer basic), new gold hoop earrings (under $15!), and my new espadrilles. I love the pop of yellow!
Not necessarily clothes, but I’ve been wearing my face masks from Kitsch every time I leave the house. They’re 100% cotton and such a nice, lightweight gauze material that they’re the easiest to breathe in out of all the masks I’ve tried. Plus, they’re super cute.
So I’ve been needing a tan belt for a while – not dark brown, and not light beige, but a medium-toned tan. I love my black Gucci belt, and decided to just splurge on another one in the color I needed. It was available for preorder on the Gucci site (new color, I guess), and wasn’t supposed to ship until after my birthday in September. It was supposed to be a birthday gift to myself, but then it showed up on my doorstep…
Beauty
Am I the only one who kind of thought MakeUp Erasers were kind of a total scam? I got a mini one with Sephora points and was BLOWN AWAY by how well it works, so I bought a full size too. You just get the cloth wet and makeup wipes away. It can take off a full face of makeup – mascara included. The best part is that it just gets tossed in the washer and dryer and you get thousands of uses out of them!
I just received the new Kosas Chemistry Deodorant in Serene Clean. I try to use natural deodorant on days when I’m not planning on sweating a lot, and I love that this one has AHAs in it. AHAs are an amazing exfoliant and will help the underarm stay bright and ingrown-free. So far, no problems with this one, but it’s definitely not powerful enough to use it on days I work out.
For whatever reason, I decided to splurge at Ulta. My favorites from this haul are the Buxom lip gloss set (such incredible formulas and colors), the MAC bronzer, the Essie nail polish, Morphe brushes and Morphe x Maddie Ziegler palette – I love that it has a lot of everyday shades as well as bright pops of color.
I literally saw this pink highlighter on Tik Tok and had to have it. It’s not incredibly pigmented in color, but rather shows up as a beautiful pink reflect. It looks beautiful on the eyes or topped over blush. I’m also obsessed with the Milk Flex highlighter in Lit for the most amazing, wet-like shine.
The new Huda Beauty Silk Balm is already a bag staple for me. I love that it comes in a lip gloss tube because it’s more sanitary for on-the-go application. It really is smooth and silky and makes your lips look hydrated and juicy.
This was kind of a random buy, but I kept getting ads for it. Winky Lux released a s’mores collection and this lip balm smells just like my favorite campfire snack. It leaves behind a beautiful nude tint. I also picked up the Matcha Blotting Sheets when I placed my order – perfect for sweaty summer days.
MY IPAD
How could I forget – since my last post, I also became a proud new iPad user! I’ve been wanting to learn digital illustration for a long time, and decided that quarantine was the best time to do it. I went with the iPad Pro 11″ – it’s one of the pricier options, but I wanted one of the newest models so that I don’t feel the need to replace it often. I’m obsessed with it, and I use it every day. I’ve been doing some drawings on Procreate (check out my Instagram story highlights to see examples!) I’ve also been using Goodnotes to keep a planner, journal, and notes about my job search. I purchased the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation and it works amazingly well. Rather than getting a case from Apple, I got this case from Amazon that also has a pencil holder.
Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and LiketoKnow. It to keep up with my favorite purchases and products! I’m always posting on both apps.
Xo,
Meg
