Amazon Lifestyle Favorites – Fall/Winter 2019

1. Wick Trimmer

A wick trimmer is a must-have for people who like to burn candles. I love burning a candle next to my bed, especially during the fall. I tend to reach for fall and winter scented candles almost year-round, but especially when it’s colder out. The smell of pine trees just blends so well with the smoky candle smell. This Yankee Candle one smells amazing and these burn forever! Trimming the wick before each use is key to minimizing smoke and keeping your candle in good condition. This wick trimmer trims them with ease and collects the debris in the trimmer itself. It’s a lot easier than digging scissors down into a candle when it’s running low!

2. Weighted Blanket

I received a weighted blanket for Christmas last year and it’s amazing for those of us with anxiety, sleeping issues, or those who just like to feel a little extra cozy. Mine weighs 12 pounds and it has the perfect amount of weight without feeling like it’s smothering me. It’s also incredibly soft – by far the softest blanket I own. I love snuggling up with this after a long morning skiing in the winter!

3. Portable Steamer

I can’t stand having wrinkles in my clothes. Some fabrics tend to wrinkle more easily than others no matter what you do. We have a big steamer in the basement, but sometimes it’s easier to just steam something quickly in my bedroom before putting it on. Not only is it convenient to keep in your room or closet, but it’s the perfect size for traveling and for kids in college.

4. Tide to Go Pens

I always keep a Tide to Go pen in my desk at work and on my bedside table for those pesky little stains you get from spilling coffee, food, or anything else. These really do work on most stains, and it’s more convenient to get a spot out right then and there than having to change or wait for laundry day to roll around. Buy a multi-pack and keep one in your purse as well.

5. Gain In-Wash Scent Boosters

I absolutely love the smell of Gain laundry detergent, and these little beads help make it more prominent when you wash your clothes. Just pour a handful into the washing machine with your load for a boost of added freshness. It makes wearing sweatshirts, sweaters, scarves – whatever you’re washing – even cozier when you can smell that yummy detergent scent!

6. Faux-Fur Rug

My faux fur rug is actually from Ikea, but Amazon sells a lot of similar options! I love using it as a flatlay photo background, and it also feels amazing underfoot at the edge of your bed. My dog loves it too! I think it reminds her of snuggling with her mama.

7. Glass Nail File

Something about these glass/crystal nail files amazes me. They don’t feel rough at all when you touch them, but they file nails amazingly! They are slim and portable and typically come with a travel case. Perfect for smoothing over rough spots or for fixing a broken nail on the go.

8. Tweezerman Point Tweezers

None of my friends or family use these tweezers but me, and I don’t understand why! I think the point is much more precise and makes it easier to grab single brow hairs at a time. They’re great for digging out any ingrown hairs, too (guilty pleasure and a terrible habit). They also come in handy for untying any stubborn knots in elastic waistbands and helping to detangle jewelry.

9. Louis Vuitton Apple Watch Band

This Apple Watch band is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for fall and winter. It’s a bit dressier than the standard silicone band, which I love. It would look a lot better for holiday parties than the typical band.

10. Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer

This is relatively new to me, and I’m still trying to figure out how to use it for the perfect blowout look. Already I find it cuts down on hair styling time. I simply wait for my hair to be about half-dry, and then use this to help straighten and dry it at once. It combines a brush and dryer so there’s no need for using a hair dryer with a round brush followed by a flat iron. I so wish I had this in college for those nights of rushing to get ready for a party in time.

11. Retractable Lint Roller

If you have a pet (or you just hate having linty clothes), you need this in your life. With a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, my leggings get covered in fine white hairs from snuggling with my pup. We try to keep lint rollers stashed throughout the house, but this one is perfect for on-the-go use because it twists into a case keeping it sticky for longer.

12. Phone Tripod

I love this handy little tripod for my phone. Whether you’re taking photos of yourself or need to steady the camera to take photos of something else, this is a great affordable option. It also comes with a bluetooth remote so that you can snap a pic without needing to press any buttons on your phone or use self timer.
