While I don’t exclusively shop from clean beauty brands, it’s obviously a plus when I find a product I love is a clean product. I thought I’d round up my favorite clean makeup products to share with you all, especially with so many of them available at Sephora and with the sale coming up!
Kosas is quickly becoming one of my favorite makeup brands. Their new Revealer Concealer is a new favorite! I had received samples in the shades 1 and 3 (or 3.5? not sure) and decided to pick up the shade 2 so I could use it both under my eyes and on spots. It’s excellent for both.
For the cheeks, I love Kosas’s Color & Light Cream Blush & Highlighter Duo. I have the shade 8th Muse, which includes the perfect, slightly cool-toned pink blush and a dewy champagne highlight. The blush looks great applied with a stippling brush, sponge, or fingers, and I always apply the highlight with my fingers. The highlight is especially amazing, in my opinion – it gives skin a radiant, almost wet sheen.
Kosas also makes great lip products! My first was the Weightless Color Lipstick in the shade Rosewater, which is the perfect everyday pink shade. The lipsticks are super creamy and pigmented, and smell like chocolate. I also have the shade Vegas, a nude shade that comes in the cutest white packaging and is exclusive to their site, but I find it a bit too warm-toned for me. If you like true nude lipsticks, you’d love this!
My new favorite lip gloss is from Kosas. Their Wet Lip Oil Gloss is absolutely INCREDIBLE. It feels like heaven on the lips and gives lips a glassy shine. I have the clear shade, Jellyfish, but the colored ones look to have a lot of pigment, too.
MILK has a lot of hits and misses, but two clean products I use are from the brand. The MILK Matte Bronzer in the shade Baked is the perfect cream bronzer that can be used for warming up the skin or contouring the hollows of the face. A little goes a long way, and the stick lasts FOREVER, so consider picking up the mini size instead of the full size.
MILK’s Lip + Cheek stick is a great multipurpose cream product that can be used as a cream blush or lipstick. This is one of the only stick products that I can apply directly to my face without it rubbing my foundation or concealer around. It also blends flawlessly.
Tower 28 is an amazing new brand with all clean products AND its female owned and operated! I love their ShineOn Jelly Lip Gloss – it’s super smooth and not sticky, and comes in a variety of different tints. I also really love their BeachPlease Tinted Lip + Cheek Balm. I have the shade Magic Hour and it’s essentially Glossier’s Dusk Cloud Paint in a potted, balm-like form. It’s uber-pigmented, so a little goes a long way. On my cheeks, it makes me look flushed and tan at the same time. It looks great worn on the lips too!
Tower 28 also makes an amazing facial mist. The SOS Save.Our.Skin Daily Rescue Facial Spray works great as a setting spray but also has antibacterial ingredients like hypochlorous acid to help keep skin clear and free of inflammation. It doesn’t smell the greatest, but it works (and oftentimes clean beauty products aren’t fragranced at all).
I just recently tried out RMS for the first time and I can see why so many beauty influencers talk about the brand. The first product I tried was the Lip Shine in the shade Sublime, after seeing Allana Davidson talk about it on YouTube. It’s described as a fuchsia pink, but gives the lips a nice cool-toned pink shine. It feels super nourishing on, too. I like to use it on my cheeks as well for a dewy blush.
The RMS Lip2Cheek is a similar product but with a slightly less emollient formula. I have the shade Spell, and it’s quite similar to the Tower 28 blush I have. This is a gorgeous cream blush formula and can be worn on the lips (or even eyes) as well.
Tarte’s SEA line is all clean, and I love the Color Splash Lipstick. The shade Rum Punch is the perfect everyday nude for me!
