Sephora Sale Makeup Recommendations: Fall 2021

Sephora sale makeup recommendations - rare beauty by Selena Gomez products, Charlotte Tilbury makeup products, Fenty Beauty gloss bomb lip gloss set, Natasha Denona Glam Palette neutral eyeshadow

The Sephora sale is almost upon us once again! If you’ve been following me or reading my blog for a while, then you know this is when I thrive. I love Sephora and spend WAY too much money on makeup and skincare there. Since I’m VIB Rouge, I love to use the sale to get 20% off my favorite products!

The sale begins November 5 for Rouge members, and gradually opens up to VIB and Beauty Insiders. Not signed up for a Beauty Insider account? Sign up here – there are tons of perks that come with shopping with an account such as free shipping, exclusive sales, early access to newly released products, and more.

Let’s kick this off with my makeup recommendations, shall we? You can shop my favorite products anytime at Shoplist, too – I try to update this frequently and will have my sale recommendations and wish list there as well.

Base Products

I typically gravitate towards a more natural base, meaning I don’t wear foundation often and when I do I prefer a more natural finish.

I like to prime with Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. This not only helps to even out the skin tone but also provides an amazing glowy base. Sometimes I wear this in place of foundation altogether.

For concealer, I recommend NARS concealers like the Radiant Creamy Concealer or Soft Matte Complete Concealer. These are cult favorites for a reason – you can do no wrong with either, but if you have dry skin I would recommend the creamy one over the matte. I wear shades Vanilla and Creme Brûlée depending on how much sun I’ve gotten. For slightly less expensive (but just as good) options, I love the Milk Flex Concealer and Sephora Collection Gel Serum Concealer.

As for foundation, I love the Dior Airflash foundation. I love makeup, but spending $60+ on a foundation pains me – which is why this sale is the perfect time to buy. This gives you such a perfect base while still looking natural, and it looks absolutely gorgeous in photos. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation is a close second. I wear 2N in the Dior and 4 in Armani. If you’re looking for a stick formula, look no further than the Vital Skin Foundation by Westman Atelier. At $68 it’s quite pricey, but the Sephora sale offers the best discounts possible on Westman Atelier – especially if you’re VIB Rouge like I am.

My favorite powder as of late is the Kosas Cloud Set baked setting powder. I think it might be better than Charlotte Tilbury. I’ve been using this nonstop lately and it’s fine enough to use under the eyes, too. I’ve been using the shade Breezy, but the powder is sheer enough that there’s definitely wiggle room when it comes to shade matching.

Cheek Products

Cheek products are quickly becoming one of my most-bought categories. I love trying new blushes, highlights and contour products.

If they’re not sold out already, try to get your hands on Charlotte Tilbury’s highlight, blush, and contour wands. Unfortunately, Tik Tok made these viral and they’ve been selling out each time they’re restocked. These wands blend like a dream and the blush and highlight are so dewy and beautiful.

Rare Beauty’s liquid blush has been a staple in my collection since I bought it. They’re super pigmented and a little goes a long way. If liquid blush is too intimidating, try Fenty’s Cheeks Out cream blush. I love the shade Petal Poppin’.

My Gucci bronzer is one of my most prized beauty possessions. The packaging is stunning but the product is just as wonderful. It’s pigmented yet buildable and the shade 01 is great on my skin year round.

Eye Products

I always try to pick up a palette I’ve been lusting over during the Sephora sale. For everything from a subtle, natural eye look to full glam, the Natasha Denona Glam Palette is my number one recommendation for eyeshadow. It’s mostly neutral toned and has a mix of matte shadows and gorgeous metallic/shimmer pigments. I sometimes use this for liner as well. Additionally, I love the Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow quads for something that’s a bit more natural and travel-friendly. These shadows aren’t as pigmented initially but can be built up for more impact. The packaging is to DIE for, too. Eyeshadow palettes are EXPENSIVE, so take advantage of the sale to buy them.

For brows, my all-time favorite brow pencil is the Benefit Precisely, My Brow pencil. Unlike the Anastasia Brow Wiz, this Benefit pencil has never broken on me and shade 3.5 is the perfect neutral/cool brown for my hair color. I like the REFY Brow Sculpt for gelling my brows down and giving them a laminated look.

There are lots of drugstore mascaras that are phenomenal, but I find that Rare Beauty’s Perfect Strokes mascara is one of the best mascaras of all time. It provides great volume without clumping the lashes and is never too wet.

The Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil in Boundless Bisque is an excellent cream color for lining the waterline and opening up the eyes. It works wonders on tired red eyes. This formula is a favorite lip liner of mine too! I also really love the Fenty Beauty Flypencil eyeliner – it glides on easily and is easy to smudge out before setting down and lasting all day.

Lip Products

Ahhh, at last… my favorite category! I’ve loved lip products for as long as I can remember, and have tried quite a few. If you don’t own them already, you need the cult favorite Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick and lip cheat lip liner. It really is a universally-flattering pinky nude shade. I also love the lip liner in the shade Supersize Me and the lipstick in Walk of No Shame for a red lip. Since Charlotte Tilbury is on the pricier end, the Sephora sale is the perfect time to buy.

Dior lip products are also some of my favorites. I love the Lip Glow Balm in Rosewood, Lip Glow Oil in Mahogany, and plumping lip gloss in Beige.

Other lip products I love are the Kosas Wet Lip Oil glosses (the new nude shades are gorg), the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Heat plumping lip gloss (Hot Cherry is the best!) (here is a gorgeous set of glosses, too), Lawless’s Forget The Filler lip liner and lip gloss, and of course, my tried-and-true Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.

Sets

Since we’re nearing the holidays, a ton of brands have released some great value sets. I haven’t tried these personally, but they each have some of my favorite products inside. The Sephora sale is the perfect time to stock up on gifts like these – and they’ll make any beauty lover in your life happy!
