SEPHORA SALE 2020: Haircare Recommendations

With the sale underway, I wanted to share my top hair care products available at Sephora. While the sale has been open to Rouge members since October 30, VIB members will be able to shop beginning tomorrow, November 3. Insiders (which anyone can become by signing up now!) can shop starting on the November 5.

Dry Shampoo: My current favorite dry shampoo is The Ouai x Byredo’s collaboration. Unfortunately that was limited edition and sold out already, but I’m very impressed by the formula itself. The Ouai’s products smell amazing, so I’m sure their original dry shampoo is just as good. I also really enjoy Living Proof’s dry shampoo for when my hair is extra dirty, or Amika for perking up second day hair.

Leave-in products: I like to use a variety of leave-in products after showering to make my hair easier to brush out and keep it frizz-free. I love The Ouai’s Leave In Conditioner immediately after towel drying my hair to detangle it for brushing. I then follow with the Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil. This set is an amazing way to try out the brand! I love their hair perfume, too. IGK and R+Co are two of my favorite haircare brands, and while Sephora doesn’t sell R+Co (yet – hoping they will one day!), I love the IGK MISTRESS Hydrating Hair Balm. It’s a leave-in product that helps hydrate ends and smooth frizz. Plus, it smells amazing. Would love to try more of their products – I do really love Beach Club and the Antisocial spray-on mask from them too. Their packaging is to die for.

Shampoo, Conditioner & Masks: I’m not loyal to any one brand or product when it comes to shampoo and conditioner, and I tend to use drugstore products most of the time. However, I did really love the Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Joia Strengthening + Smoothing shampoo and conditioner. If you follow my Instagram, you know I’m a huge fan of the brand. This stuff smells amazing – I wish they’d come out with some sort of leave-in product so I can smell it in my hair all day long! My favorite deep conditioning mask is the Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector. It really is worth it. I like to collect sample sizes of it when they’re available for rewards and add them to my bottle. I just ordered the Briogeo Merry Multi-Masking set to try out too, as I’ve heard amazing things about their masks – how cute is that little teddy bear?!

Scalp: I suffer from scalp buildup from time to time, and my scalp gets really itchy (and sometimes flaky, ugh) in the dry weather. I also tend to get scalp sunburns in the summer. I love the dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse to help get rid of buildup. I also like to use a scalp massager when shampooing my hair to help loosen any flakiness and massage the itchy spots. I’m really interested in trying Sunday Riley’s Clean Rinse Clarifying Scalp Serum with Niacinamide.

Tools & Accessories: For straightening my hair, I use the classic GHD iron. Sometimes I even get asked if I’ve had a blowout after using it! I love the Slip silk hair ties or the slim Invisibobble hair ties.
