Leggings I’m Loving

I have a drawer full of lulus, but these leggings I just picked up from SPANX are quickly becoming a new favorite for me.

I’d been seeing bloggers rave about the SPANX seamless leggings for months, but it took me until last week to pull the trigger and order a pair. I’ve had my eye on camo leggings for a while, but paying a steep lululemon price ($100 or more) for a trendy pattern didn’t seem worth it to me. Fans of SPANX leggings promised comfort and slimmed down legs all for just $68.

IMG_0617.jpegI purchased the Seamless Camo Leggings in the black camo version in a size small. When I first put them on I was shocked – I thought they were way too small. As someone who almost always wears a size small (or a 4 in lululemon Wunder Unders and Align leggings), I panicked and wondered whether or not to return them. But after wearing them around the house (tags and all) for a few hours, they stretched out and hugged my body perfectly. They’re a nice high rise just like my newer lululemon leggings, and definitely have a way of sucking in your legs and stomach just like the SPANX brand is known for. Sure, they didn’t suddenly give me a butt, but they’re just as flattering as any other leggings I own.

My only gripe about these leggings is the seam in the crotch area. While they are technically “seamless,” there is a circle-shaped crotch (perhaps to prevent the dreaded camel toe?) and the seams there dig into my thighs a bit. It’s not uncomfortable by any means, but it’s slightly visible. I would suggest ordering your true size, but don’t be afraid to return them and exchange for a size up. If you’re solidly in between sizes, I would recommend sizing up. They run the perfect length for me at 5’5″, hitting just above my ankle bone similarly to lululemon 7/8 lengths.

Have you picked these up yet? Let me know in the comments below!
