Salt New York is a small, indie makeup brand based out of – you guessed it – New York City. The brand first caught my eye after seeing it on my Instagram explore page, and after scrolling through their photos I knew I had to try some products.
The brand produces two types of products: a chic magnetic palette encased in leather, and the Crème Tint Pro, which is a metal pan hand-filled with cream cheek product that fits into any empty magnetic palette.

I picked up four Crème Tint Pro shades: the Lip + Cheek in Rose, the Lip + Cheek in Peach, the Sculpt + Bronze in Light/Medium, and the Sculpt + Bronze in Contour. These seem sheer at first, but do not be fooled – these cream products pack a pigmented punch. They are 100% dupes for the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Cream Blushes and Bronzers. In fact, as much as I love the Fenty products (they are some of my favorite cheek products by far), I find myself reaching for my Salt New York palette more often because it’s so easy to have everything in one place.
I didn’t pick up any highlighters because I figured I had enough in my collection already, but now that I’ve fallen in love with the formula I definitely plan on buying some soon enough. I have my eye on the Crème Tint Pro in Radiant Beige and Radiant Pearl. I also think Radiant Bronze and Radiant Rust would be excellent dupes for the Tower28 Bronzino Illuminating Bronzer, a product that I love to use in the summer months. The Crème Tint Pro retails for $16 while Tower28’s bronzers cost $20 each.
